Two tune-ups a year, priority scheduling, fewer breakdowns, longer system life.

A maintenance plan is two visits a year timed to actually matter: an air conditioner tune-up in spring before the first run of brutal, humid days, and a furnace or heat pump tune-up in fall before the first hard freeze. Each visit includes cleaning, tightening electrical connections, checking refrigerant charge, testing capacitors and contactors, and on furnaces a full combustion and carbon monoxide safety check — the same parts that fail without warning get caught while they're still small, cheap problems.

Members get priority scheduling, which matters most on exactly the days everyone else is calling too — the first scorching afternoon in July or the first hard freeze in January. A system that's run for years without a tune-up is usually carrying dirt on the coils, weak electrical connections, and a refrigerant charge nobody's checked, any one of which shortens its life and drives up the power bill quietly, month after month.

We're not going to use a tune-up visit to talk you into equipment you don't need — the point of the plan is to catch a weak capacitor or a dirty coil before it turns into a no-cool call on a Saturday afternoon, and to get more working years out of the system you already have. If something is wearing out, you'll hear about it plainly, with a price, so you can plan for it instead of getting surprised by it.

Quick answers

Is a maintenance plan really worth it if my system seems to be running fine?

Most of what a tune-up catches — a weak capacitor, a dirty coil, a connection starting to corrode — doesn't show up as a symptom until it fails completely, usually on the hottest or coldest day of the year, so 'running fine' and 'nothing's wearing out' aren't the same thing.
