FAQ
Questions We Hear Every Week
Straight answers — the same ones we'd give across your kitchen table.
Do you really answer 24/7?
Yes — a real person, not a voicemail. Plumbing and HVAC emergencies don't keep business hours, so neither does our phone line. Call (901) 699-7763 any hour, any day.
How fast can you get to my house in an emergency?
We're based in Brighton, so most of Tipton County sees a technician within the hour for true emergencies — burst pipes, sewage backups, no heat in a freeze. Millington, Arlington, and Bartlett are typically not much longer.
Do you give prices before you start work?
Always. You approve the price before we touch a wrench — no hourly meters running, no surprise line items. That's our upfront pricing promise.
Should I repair or replace my water heater?
Rule of thumb: under 8 years old with a minor issue — repair. Over 10 years old, leaking from the tank itself, or on its second repair — replace. We'll give you the honest math on your specific unit, and we won't sell a replacement a repair would fix.
Why is my AC running but not cooling?
Check two things first: the filter (a clogged one chokes airflow) and the breaker. If neither fixes it, likely causes are a failed capacitor, low refrigerant from a leak, or a frozen coil — all diagnosable on one visit. Don't set the thermostat lower to compensate; it can't cool faster.
What size generator does my house need?
It depends on what you want running in an outage — whole-home with AC is a different unit than essentials-only. We size from your home's actual loads (HVAC, well pump, kitchen), not a guess, and quote the full installed price upfront in a free assessment.
Do you install Generac generators?
Yes — we install and service Generac home standby generators. Our licensed gas-line work covers the fuel side (natural gas or propane), we coordinate the automatic transfer switch, and the unit tests itself weekly so it's ready the night the power drops.
Do you service my town?
We're based in Tipton County and serve all of West Tennessee and North Mississippi. Fastest response close to home — Brighton, Atoka, Munford, Covington, Drummonds, Millington, Arlington, Bartlett — but wherever you are in West TN or North MS, call: we'll shoot you straight.
What's included in the HVAC maintenance plan?
Two seasonal tune-ups a year (AC in spring, heat in fall), priority scheduling ahead of non-members during peak season, and a technician who knows your system's history. It's the cheapest way to avoid the expensive July breakdown.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Every tech is licensed, insured, and background-checked, with continuous training on modern equipment. We're a local Brighton company — our techs answer to the same neighbors they serve.
